Raphael is Head of the Private Markets Investment Specialists team at Allianz Global Investors. He has 20 years of investment industry experience with a particular emphasis on private markets and alternative investments. Before joining AllianzGI in April 2017, Raphael was the senior product specialist based in New York for a global equity long/short hedge fund within Goldman Sachs Asset Management and responsible for investor relations, marketing and product development. Prior to that role, Raphael was a product specialist for the full range of alternative investments offered by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Raphael earned the degree "Diplom-Kaufmann" in 2006, having studied Business Administration at the Humboldt-University of Berlin (Germany), University of Valparaíso (Chile) and University of Regensburg (Germany). Prior to his studies, Raphael completed a two-year training program with HypoVereinsbank in Munich (Germany). Raphael holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2009.
