Alex
Smith
Alex Smith is the Head of Equities Investment Specialists across the Aberdeen Asian and Emerging Markets equity team, covering all Asian and Emerging Market equities, as well as Chinese equites.
He is based in the region, after making the move to Singapore in 2022 from Aberdeen’s London office.
Prior to joining Aberdeen, Alex worked for Royal London Asset Management, beginning his career in 2012.

Shamaila
Khan
Shamaila Khan is Head of Fixed Income Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific at UBS Asset Management. She is also a member of the Fixed Income Management team, Fixed Income Investment Forum (FIIF), and chairs the Emerging Markets FIIF sub-committee.
Shamaila joined UBS Asset Management in 2023, having previously been Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income at AllianceBernstein where she oversaw $33bn in Emerging Markets (EM) Assets Under Management across EM Dedicated strategies and EM exposure in multisector accounts, and led a team of 23 portfolio managers, credit and sovereign research analysts and traders in New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Shamaila was also portfolio manager on several global multi-sector fixed income funds as well as EM multi-asset funds.

Erik
Lueth
Erik joined L&G in 2014 as a Global Emerging Market Economist with the responsibility to analyse and identify investment opportunities. Erik joined L&G from Autonomy Capital, a global macro hedge fund, where he held the title of Senior Economist. Prior to that, he worked for four years as a sell side economist for RBS, based in Hong Kong, and 10 years for the IMF, based in Washington. Erik graduated from the University of Freiburg and holds a PhD in Economics.

Lisa
Turk
Lisa Turk has been a portfolio manager for EdRF Emerging Credit since August 2019 and launched EdRF EM Climate Bonds in June 2023. Previously, she worked as a United States economist in the Edmond de Rothschild Group’s Economic Research.
Prior to joining Edmond de Rothschild in 2014, Lisa Turk had extended experience as a risk analyst at Goldman Sachs in London as well as at the Bank of Luxembourg, and as an analyst in the investment strategy department at Edmond de Rothschild Luxembourg.
Lisa holds a Master's degree in Financial Markets (Master 203) from Paris Dauphine University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Financial Engineering from Paris Dauphine University and Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She is fluent in French, German, English and Luxembourgish.
